On Friday, September 14, Rick Langer returned to his alma mater to speak to Wisconsin MBA students in partnership with the University of Wisconsin’s Grainger Center for Supply Chain Management and the MBA Veterans student organization.
Rick discussed the use of technology, big data, and analytics within Quetica’s various practices, and in particular, its work in the supply chain and transportation world and fleet management. Rick also shared with the students how the skills learned in the military translated into supply chain management and vice versa.
Jake Dean, Director, Grainger Center for Supply Chain Management, noted that Rick opened the students’ eyes to the use of network planning and optimization, historically a private sector tool, by public sector agencies at the state and municipal levels. The presentation was part of the Center’s applied learning curriculum.
