The primary objective of this project was to analyze the feasibility of developing a new, regional ballpark on the Former Diamond Products site in Lowertown Saint Paul, Minnesota. The due diligence analysis outlined site constraints including environmental contamination, geotechnical, demolition, utilities, grading, earthwork, real estate, infrastructure, traffic, and zoning issues. Additionally, the analysis included analyzing the viability of reusing the existing building. In conjunction with the due diligence and building reuse analysis, the scope of the project involved preliminary design and analysis for rough grading the site and preparing for ballpark construction. The outcome of this successful, landmark project for the City of Saint Paul and Saint Paul Port Authority is a beautiful, new ballpark in Lowertown that is working to revitalize the area by bringing jobs, tax base, and bustling activity to the area.
