In the current, austere budget environment, many government agencies are looking for pragmatic strategies and proven approaches to assess their current cost structure, initiate and implement operational excellence efforts to realize rapid cost reduction, without reducing service quality. Transportation and accounts payable processing typically are two major cost components in an agency’s budget. Many agencies have initiated efforts to drive operational excellence through process re-engineering and implementation of innovative products in these two areas.
With the help of Quetica and other industry leaders, government agencies, such as the GSA and Department of Defense, are leveraging new industry best practices in supply chain and transportation management, accounts payable, payment and cloud-based technologies to achieve long-term, sustainable cost reduction, better service levels and greater accuracy.
