Quetica’s abstract entitled “Optimizing Winter Maintenance Operations with Stacked Technology Solutions” was submitted and accepted for Topic 4 “New technologies and methods in winter service“ of the XVIth World Winter Service and Road Resilience Congress, Calgary 2022. This paper discusses a winter operations support framework that integrates route optimization, winter operations event management, fleet telematics, and performance measurement/management in a single solution stack. The integrated framework supports the end-to-end process for planning, operations, and continuous improvement.
Dr. Weiwen Xie and Benjamin Zietlow participated in a virtual international forum in February 2022 to share their knowledge and best practices in winter service and road resilience to increase the world-wide expertise in the topic area.
