The webinar provided three distinct perspectives as public, private, and academic freight planning stakeholders work to harmonize common performance measures and decision-making related to infrastructure investments.
Ben discussed how factors such as supply chain KPIs and network design shape operational decisions; how tools like supply chain network optimization models, which utilize AI/machine learning and big data to find optimal solutions to complex problems, inform the targeting of fiscally constrained funds; and how the concept of Freight Fluidity can assist in the harmonization of freight performance metrics and associated decision making.
