In the work of U.S. DOT in developing a national freight plan, agriculture is among the top three supply chains noted as being nationally critical. There is a need to better understand how public-sector investments can promote safe and efficient transport of agricultural and food products. This workshop is for practitioners and will focus on using private-sector optimization tools to guide national and state investments to support the food and agricultural supply chain. Topics include:
