Ben Zietlow is a featured speaker at the Center for Transportation Studies (CTS) 2025 Transportation Research Conference, taking place at the McNamara Alumni Center at the University of Minnesota. Ben presented on real-world applications of the Minnesota Freight Network Optimization Tool (FNOT), a cutting-edge platform designed to enhance freight planning and decision-making across the state.
Developed to strengthen collaboration between public and private sectors, the FNOT tool provides advanced data visualization, scenario modeling, and performance benchmarking tools that align with the goals outlined in Minnesota’s 2024–2028 State Freight Plan.
The platform helps state and local governments, as well as Minnesota businesses, optimize supply chain performance, improve safety, and reduce environmental impacts. Through its analytical capabilities, FNOT supports strategic transportation investments and fosters a more efficient, resilient freight network across Minnesota.
