APRA-E Intermodal Freight Optimization Project
Quetica is proud to be part of the National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL) team selected to work on the INtermodal Freight Optimization for a Resilient Mobility Energy System (INFORMES) project. This effort is funded through a competitive federal research grant from the Advanced Research Projects Agency–Energy (ARPA-E), which awarded $2.2 million to support the development of INFORMES.
The goal? To build an intermodal freight modeling framework that helps decision-makers redesign the national freight system to support net-zero emissions by 2050.
Quetica is bringing our expertise in private sector supply chains and optimization modeling to the table. We’re playing a key role in building the network optimization tool and framework that will create routable intermodal networks across highways, railroads, and waterways.
