Central Nebraska Transload Study
This study for Iowa Interstate Railroad sought to understand how freight moves into and out of the Council Bluffs Region by analyzing current and future commodity flow data, and to determine those commodity movements that could be made more efficient or cost effective by the expansion of transload services. Stakeholder interviews for the purpose of gathering intelligence about planned growth and additional market opportunities among existing rail shippers in the region was conducted. Interviews were also used to engage other commercial interests, including real estate brokers, to gain a better understanding about their vision for growth and opportunities in the region. Quetica served as Project Manager.
