Minnesota Child & Adolescent Behavior Health Facility – Parking Lot and Large Motor Activity Room Addition

This project, located in Willmar, Minnesota, consists of a large motor activity center addition to the existing Minnesota Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Facility, the only state-owned and -operated facility of its type in Minnesota. This facility provides inpatient psychiatric hospital services and offers a safe setting for youth who need crisis stabilization, comprehensive assessment and intensive treatment of specialized mental health problems.

The large motor activity center consists of a large gymnasium area with exposed glulam heavy timbers and tongue and groove decking. Also included in the expansion is a link/circulation space to tie to the adjacent facility, bathrooms, mechanical and janitorial spaces. Quetica provided structural engineering and civil engineering services.
