City of Coon Rapids – 2020 City Center Roof Replacement

The City of Coon Rapids – 2020 City Center Roof Replacement project scope included the replacement of approximately 62,000 SF of existing EPDM loose laid ballasted roofing systems and the installation of a new built-up roofing system. The work scope included replacement of the existing roofing insultation and prefinished sheet metal flashing. The project areas include the City Hall, Police and Civic/Senior Center areas. Non-structurally sloped wood roof deck areas, non-structurally sloped precast concrete plant roof deck areas, non-structurally sloped metal roof deck areas, and structurally sloped roof deck areas were included in the project. Additionally, the project included increased insulation thickness for improved energy efficiency and improvements to the roof drainage systems due to improved roof slope and addition of roof drains/scuppers.
