City of Coon Rapids Public Works Roof Replacement
This project for the City of Coon Rapids focused on replacing the existing roofing system at the Public Works building, covering approximately 41,000 square feet of low-slope roof. The scope included the removal of the ballasted EPDM roofing and insulation, followed by the installation of a new Built-Up Roofing (BUR) system and reused in combination with new polyisocyanurate insulation. As part of the evaluation, roofing test cuts were conducted across different roof areas to assess the condition, thickness, and material of the existing insulation, helping determine if any materials could be reused. This comprehensive effort ensured the building’s roof met modern standards for durability, energy efficiency, and performance. Quetica provided roofing design and MEP engineering services.
