Elbert County Public Works Road and Bridge Division Shop

The project consisted of a new public works maintenance, storage and office facility with site fencing, landscaping, drives, parking, salt shed, fuel island and outdoor storage. The project is located in Kiowa, CO near the intersection of County Road 134 and State Highway 86 on a County-owned property on approximately 17 acres.

The pre-manufactured metal building consists of three wings. The west wing houses a large 4-bay maintenance area including a parts storage, welding area, and an air/lube/oil room with an upper mezzanine for storage. The east wing consists of a 6-bay large vehicle storage and wash bay. The center wing consists of administration, reception, locker wing, bathrooms, training room, sign shop, print room, bunk house, and mechanical/electrical/storage spaces. This space also includes a mechanical mezzanine. Quetica served as a subconsultant providing structural engineering services for the full foundation design on the main building, salt shed, and fuel tank pad on the site.
