Joliet Regional Port District Strategic Marine and Port Master Plan

A consulting team lead by Quetica was selected to lead a Strategic Marine and Port Master Plan for Joliet Regional Port District (JRPD). The project is based on Quetica’s proven three phase approach (discovery, design and development) to explore economic development opportunities through transportation investment. The study effort began with assembling regional data, using the data to construct a digital twin of the regional transportation network, and using analytical optimization to identify opportunities to lower costs to regional shippers through new or modified multimodal facilities. The master plan is projected to be completed in the fall of 2024.
