TxDOT Freight Mobility Plan / Supply Chain Data Analysis

Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) developed Texas Delivers 2050, the latest version of the Texas Freight Mobility Plan (TFMP). Texas Delivers 2050 describes Texas’ multimodal freight transportation through the lens of critical supply chains. Quetica, as part of the Texas Delivers 2050 consultant team, supported the plan through supply chain data analysis. Quetica assembled a time-series database of more than 10 million private sector shipment records, spanning 2019 thru May of 2022. The desensitized shipment records were conflated with TxDOT’s commodity flow dataset. The resulting hybrid commodity flow/supply chain dataset provides insights about the cost of modal service offerings, the types of equipment being used to move products in broad commodity categories and other details about goods movement into, out of, and within the state of Texas.
