Katie Russell, PE, M.ASCE – Engineer Practice Leader & Lead Structural Engineer

Katie Russell brings 30 years of expertise in structural engineering and project management, leading Quetica’s engineering practice across structural, civil, mechanical, and forensic disciplines. Her extensive experience spans a wide range of project types, including educational and academic buildings, government structures, industrial facilities, office buildings, churches and worship spaces, recreational facilities, parks and amphitheaters, libraries, and healthcare facilities.

From straightforward structural elements to intricate systems, Katie excels in designing and managing diverse projects. She is dedicated to delivering the optimal solution for each client, balancing constructability, end-use needs, and best-value approaches. Her deep understanding of building materials allows her to tailor each design for maximum efficiency and performance.

Katie has led many high-profile development and renovation projects as both project manager and lead project engineer. With expertise in structural design using steel, concrete, timber, and masonry, she oversees projects from conceptual design through to construction administration.

Katie earned her B.S in Architectural Engineering from Kansas State University.
