Illinois Statewide Freight Plan Update

Quetica was part of a team of consultants supporting an update to the Illinois Statewide Freight Plan. Quetica assembled and mapped an inventory of freight generating facilities throughout Illinois. The comprehensive freight facility inventory included intermodal terminals, grain elevators, air cargo airports, river ports, warehousing and distribution centers, fulfillment centers, mining operations, utility facilities and others across the state.

Quetica supported stakeholder outreach efforts by conducting virtual interviews with an array of shippers, carriers and freight facility operators to better understand key industry supply chains in Illinois, including construction aggregates and wind energy. As part of the outreach and supply chain analysis, Quetica conducted a Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) analysis.
